When the Golden State Warriors signed star forward Kevin Durant in the offseason, the writing was on the wall for their former starting small forward. The Warriors no longer had the money or role to offer to Harrison Barnes.
Barnes is now with the Dallas Mavericks, having signed a max deal to join the team. He has been a topic of conversation for a long time now with many wondering if the new role will help or hinder his on-court play.
While that remains to be seen, one thing is certain: Barnes is moving on from the Warriors.
Harrison Barnes said he will pay "zero" attention to Warriors this season.

This may be an issue when the Mavs play the Warriors but to each their own.
In all seriousness, I can’t say I blame Barnes. The forward seemed to want to stay with the team that drafted him but lost his spot to a much better player. Harrison Barnes has been open about feeling unwanted by the team and trying to use that as fuel moving forward.
We have no idea if Barnes will ever become a good number one or number two option. But at least he has the motivation to work hard to reach that point.
