The Dallas Cowboys have had a successful free agency period thus far, locking up Amari Cooper and Dak Prescott for at least one more season while also adding players on the defensive side of the ball such as Gerald McCoy. Though they did lose cornerback Byron Jones, they’ve added secondary help at a different position.
According to his agency SportsTrust Advisors, free-agent safety HaHa Clinton-Dix has agreed to a deal with the Dallas Cowboys. NFL Network’s Jane Slater reports the deal is for only one year with a salary of $4 million.
Nice work here @VoiceOfTheStar. As he first reported, the deal I’m told “literally just happened”

After coming off a solid season with the Chicago Bears, HaHa Clinton-Dix will provide some much-needed help on the back end of Dallas’ defensive unit. Clinton-Dix played with the Green Bay Packers and Washington Redskins before signing with the Bears last offseason.
The best days of Clinton-Dix’s five-year career certainly came during his first four-plus seasons with the Green Bay Packers. Clinton-Dix will now reunite with his former head coach Mike McCarthy who Dallas brought in earlier this offseason. The Alabama product made the Pro Bowl once with Green Bay back in 2016.
