VH1’s Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Mom Mother’s Day special is returning on Monday, May 6.
Filled with special tributes and performances, the Mother’s Day program celebrating moms will be taking place at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
According to VH1, H.E.R., Ashanti, and Ciara will be honoring their moms during the special. VH1 reports,
“Ciara, who will be appearing on behalf of #SeeHer to honor deserving moms for the work that they’ve done to increase accurate representation of women and girls in the media that we consume both on our screens and in advertisements.”
H.E.R. and Ashanti will also perform in addition to their tributes to their moms. Other performers will be announced in the next coming weeks.
Jhene Aiko, Teyana Taylor, Diddy, and DJ Khaled have previously appeared on Dear Mama in the past.
