On Saturday, June 21, Washington Commanders Offensive Tackle Laremy Tunsil, Kansas City Chiefs Defensive End Charles Omenihu and four-time GRAMMY Award-nominated recording artist Sergio “Gunna” Kitchens will host a “one-of-a-kind” Youth Empowerment Camp in Frisco, Texas.
“This camp is more than just drills and plays. It’s about showing up for yourself and your future,” Gunna said. It’s about committing to the grind, pushing through every challenge, and never quitting. This camp teaches more than football. It builds a mindset that won’t stop, driving these kids to keep going beyond the game, every single day.”
Hosted in partnership with Distinctly HIS, a development-focused nonprofit providing resources, services, and opportunities to marginalized communities, the event will offer “hands-on football instruction and life-changing mentorship” to more than 100 kids in the greater Dallas, Texas area. Taking place at 3800 Gaylord Parkway, Suite 12, in Frisco, from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. EST, the event will provide the following for local youth:
- Exclusive Gear
- A question-and-answer workshop about mental health and overcoming adversity with Gunna, Tunsil, and Omenihu
- A gaming tournament where campers can face off against the camp hosts
- Life skills workshops, giveaways, and surprise guests
“This camp is about planting seeds—in football, in life, and in purpose. I know what it means to grow up with big dreams and limited resources,” Tunsil added. “If we can be a source of inspiration and opportunity for these kids, even just for a day, that impact can last a lifetime.”
