Game one of the 4th seed Portland Trailblazers and 5th seed (but with homecourt advantage) Memphis Grizzlies, and this would normally be a fun game, but the Trailblazers are so injured. They lose Arron Afflalo, Wesley Matthews, and Dorrell Wright.
The Memphis Grizzlies took over this game from tip off and never let go of the throttle. They started off the 1st half 58-39, and it didn’t look any better in the second half. They ran away with the game and finished it off 100-86.
LaMarcus Aldridge scored 32 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Nicholas Batum and Damian lillard started the game a combined 0/10 and finished off with 15 and 14 respectively. The Memphis Grizzles were another story.
They had 4 starters in double-figures, and Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph combined for 31 points and 22 rebounds. Are they the best big men duo in the NBA? The numbers would agree.
Do the Blazers stand a chance in this series? I really think they’ll struggle containing the bigs in Memphis, but the Trailblazers are crazy at home. Stick with NBA on Def Pen for game 2!
