What do most of America’s favorite superheroes have in common? Masks: Batman, Deadpool, the Flash, Wonder Woman – if I kept going on, we’d be here all day! The exception to this trend happens to be Superman, arguably the most well-known of the DC Universe. As most people know, Superman himself wears no mask, while Clark Kent wears his classic glasses. This has fueled a long-running debate between fans over whether or not the glasses are a sufficient device to keep people from putting two and two together.
Henry Cavill has taken it upon himself to test this question. Yesterday, the Batman vs. Superman star posted a video on his Instagram of himself standing around New York City decked out in a Superman shirt, and as close to the giant film promotions as he could get (Cinema Blend). To everyone’s surprise, the hero went virtually unnoticed.
