While the NBA season is getting underway, there is some somber news. Milwaukee Bucks’ star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s father, Charles, passed away according to a statement from the organization. Charles was 54.
It is irrelevant to say this comes at a bad time, because there will never be a good time to lose someone near and dear. Antetokounmpo has not designated when he will return for game action. He tweeted out that he is “coming”. One would assume he will be joining family during this difficult time.
I’m coming.. ??

There is plenty of hype for “The Greek Freak” this upcoming season. After leading the Bucks to the playoffs last season, Kobe Bryant challenged Giannis to win the league MVP award. Expectations for Milwaukee are rising too with all of the talent on the roster coupled with a weak Eastern Conference.
First and foremost, of course, is to do what is necessary to cope with the loss. The NBA season may be close, but all the time needed will be given to Giannis Antetokounmpo. At the end of the day, these guys are much more than players or assets.
