Giannis Antetokounmpo will have his chance to be the face of the Milwaukee Bucks going into the next decade. ‘The Greek Freak’ is only 21 years old and the wingman will be getting paid handsomely for his past services and the promise of his potential.
The Milwaukee Bucks and Antetokounmpo have agreed to a 4-year, $100 million extension, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical on Yahoo! Sports.

The contract isn’t quite for the max but it is quite the significant raise from the near $3 million he will be making this upcoming season. He would be a restricted free agent going into the summer of 2017 and the Bucks wanted to make sure they locked him in. His qualifying offer is also insanely low for a player of his magnitude, only at $4.1 million.
The 15th overall pick in the 2013 draft, Antetokounmpo was viewed as an extremely raw talent with huge upside when the Bucks drafted him. He has adjusted to the NBA more rapidly than anticipated and he’s expected to get some run as a point guard this upcoming season. Standing nearly 6’10”, with a skillset like his, the possibilities are quite endless.
As anticipated, he has increased his averages in nearly every meaningful category from year to year. Last season was his best to date, he averaged 16.9 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 4.3 APG, 1.4 BPG, and 1.2 SPG while shooting an impressive 50.6% from the field in the 2015-16 campaign.
He’s promising a championship to the city of Milwaukee and the Bucks and with a new arena set to debut in the coming years, expect Giannis Antetokounmpo’s face to be plastered all over it.
