While Gerald Green might not be at the same level of athleticism he once was, the swingman still proved his worth last season for the Houston Rockets through their run to the Western Conference Finals.
Green is rejoining Houston on a one-year veteran’s minimum deal worth approximately $2.4 million.
Following comes from Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
Rockets reach agreement to bring back Gerald Green on a one-year contract, again at the veteran's minimum, per source.

Green's deal will be worth $2.4 million. Rockets liked what brings in his role and absolutely loved his attitude with a willingness to fill any role asked no matter how large or small. https://t.co/Jq6gb0aZH3

While the loss of Trevor Ariza might be the biggest blow to the Rockets offseason, the re-addition of Green keeps a solid shooter in their rotation. Green can still get up for a couple of dunks but the real question is whether or not he can be an important part of the Rockets defense.
It still remains to be seen as to where the Rockets go after losing Ariza but keeping Green is a good start for Houston.
