Well, well, well, GameStop is reformatting their trade-in system to benefit us gamers. For years people have been complaining about GameStop’s trade-in prices and now it is changing, a little. GameStop will be offering an extra 20% on all trade-ins.
If you’re wondering why the change, it’s because GameStop feels two-thirds of their customers do not understand the system. A spokesperson said that consumers don’t really know that you can receive store credit for their games. Many people feel they can just go in and trade a used game for a brand new game that may have just released, but that isn’t the case.
Just incase you’re going to trade in games now, know that you can place the trade-in value towards another title or console, receive store credit or cash. Also, know that when trading in for cash you more than likely will not get the same in store credit or vice versa.
There’s no word on when the new system will be implemented, but you can check with you local GameStop’s.
