Prior to its final season, HBO‘s Game Of Thrones has experienced success, but the show has experienced a recent explosion in popularity. While an increase in popularity is always good for business, additional eyes comes with an increased amount of scrutiny. During the show’s most recent episode, there was a bit of controversy because of a minor mishap. Following an extravagant dinner festival, viewers can see of a forgotten Starbucks cup in sitting between Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and Danerys Stormborn (Emilia Clarke).
You're telling me they had TWO YEARS to put together a decent show and they couldn't even spot the goddamn Starbucks cup in Winterfell??!?! #GameOfThrones pic.twitter.com/8opg7nyydv

Naturally, Twitter took it’s fair share of jabs at the monumental mishap by the cast and crew of the show. With some supposedly unpaid advertisement on the biggest scale, Starbucks should have no problem having such a prominent role under the limelight. However, the episode’s director and show runners must be infuriated that the show seemingly tarnished it’s prestigious standing with both casual and hardcore fans.
This season alone #gameofthrones has:
1. used two different Dany wigs for the same scene
2. forgotten a starbucks cup on the table
3. referred to Gendry’s bastard surname as “Rivers” instead of “Waters”— salsa (@antisansa) May 6, 2019
With the recent events that have transpired in past episodes, Game of Thrones has a lot to ground to cover in its last two episodes. Hopefully, neither episode includes any Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts or anything of that nature. Check back next week for our full review of the penultimate episode.
