
Due to the massive success of HBO’s Game Of Thrones, a prequel has been set to be filmed. The untitled prequel pilot has cast Miranda Richardson to become a mainstay in the show.
Miranda Richardson will join the likes of Naomi Watts, Josh Whitehouse, Naomi Ackle, Denise Gough. The series will be run by show co-creator Jane Goldman will serve as showrunner.
This Game of Thrones role marks Miranda Richardson’s return to mainstream media since her brief appearances in the film studio Harry Potter.
According to HBO,
the prequel is set thousands of years earlier than the story audiences know now, and “chronicles the world’s descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour,” Furthermore it has been noted that the series promises to unravel “the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend.”
“Game of Thrones” will air its eighth and final season, consisting of six episodes, starting April 14.
