As expected, FX has delayed production of the latest season of American Horror Story until 2021. In addition, show creator Ryan Murphy has announced that the series has earned a spin-off show. At the moment, it is unclear if the show will air on FX or Netflix, where Murphy has signed an overall deal.
The news comes on the heels of a number of FX series being delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. FX hit shows like Atlanta and The Walking Dead have been interrupted by the pandemic. Despite delays, the network has been able to renew promising shows like What We Do In The Shadows and Dave for new seasons.
FX has not yet announced the projected release date for next year’s season. However, it is expected that the show will return during its regular time period in October. More details will be provided as the global health crisis improves.
