2015 saw a massive surge in music from the Hip-Hop genre. Early in the year, it seems as if every week saw the release of a brand new album and/or mixtape from some of Hip-Hop’s current dominating forces. Among that lineup was none other than the man of the hour, Future. If one would ask if Future practically lived in the recording studio, there would be a great argument for it as the rapper has released more projects in a year’s time than some artists release over the course of several years. Now, fresh of the release of his Drake assisted mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive, Future took to Instagram to subtly announce the followup to his 2014 mixtape, Monster.
If the simplicity of that caption didn’t convince you, this lines up with his tweet mentioning that he’s about to drop something new.
Um ready to drop sum new…FBG

Coming up on the 1 year mark since Monster was released, October 28th would be a feasible guess as to just when the rapper will drop the project. With his momentum and hype at dangerous levels, Future is taking the moment to ride the wave of success that has been granted to him. Perhaps launching just before Halloween, we’ll see just what magic Monster 2 has conjured for fans of Hip-Hop.
