It is often said that hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. If the aforementioned adage is true, Fresh Porter is bound for success. Not only does he possess the talent to reach the highest heights of the entertainment industry, but he continues to outwork his competition. In just three years, he’s managed to take the streets by storm with the release of six projects in three years. Now, he’s earned his co-sign from one of the greatest wordsmiths to come out of Virginia, Pusha T.
Pusha T is currently touring the country in promotion of his most recent album, It’s Almost Dry. While the Virginia native has elevated to the top of the rap game, he still remains connected to his home state. Fresh Porter connected with Pusha T and sent him a quick message.
“Man, my album ain’t complete until I have a feature from you,” Fresh Porter told Pusha T.
“Send it,” Pusha T replied.
From there, their first collaboration was born. “Get Around” is a dark, gritty track that embodies the tone of both Fresh Porter and Pusha T’s most recent projects display.
“I got the work in your town. Hit up Fresh Porter and place a fresh order. Ain’t no searching around. I got merch in your town. White t-shirts in your town. You can grab ounces off the dollar menu. 36 for the gown. I might feed your city challenge, just to feed the city balances,” Pusha T raps.
“Get Around” is an undeniable collaboration with two Virginia artists performing at their best. Check out the track below.
