A new rumor in the Marvel rumor mill has fallen upon us. Last week during New York Comic Con, a rumor spread reporting that Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Infinity War’s are rumored to have a 1 Billion dollar budget, now there are rumors of Fantastic Four landing back with Marvel.
Den Of Geek is reporting that Marvel and Fox have a new deal on the table. If Marvel allows Fox to create a TV-verse for X-Men starting with shows ‘Hellfire’ and ‘Legion’, Fox will willingly hand over the rights to Fantastic Four. Within doing so, Marvel will be able to have Fantastic Four back on the big screen by 2020, just in-time for the team to be one of the three newly unnamed announced movies. Seeing how Fantastic Four flopped this year for Fox, this rumor doesn’t sound too far fetched.
Now — speaking as a fan — although it looks like we may get a X-Men universe expanding to television, all we need is for the next round of Fox’s X-Men/Gambit/Deadpool movies to drastically flop like Fantastic Four so we can get the crossovers that are wanted and needed in the MCU.
The two X-Men shows happening are ‘Hellfire’ and ‘Legion’.
Hellfire will be set in the late 1960s, and will “follow a young Special Agent who learns that a power-hungry woman with extraordinary abilities is working with a clandestine society of millionaires – known as ‘The Hellfire Club’ – to take over the world.”
And Legion will be based on the son of Professor Xavier.
