Frank Gore is following in the footsteps of other 49ers this offseason and leaving the team under new head coach Jim Tomsula.
Gore will be leaving the San Fransisco 49ers and despite early reports that he would join the Eagles, it appears the Gore will actually be heading to Indianapolis to play with Andrew Luck and the Colts.

Frank Gore plans to sign with the Indianapolis Colts, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The deal is expected to be similar to the three-year, $12 million offer that the former 49ers running back received Sunday from the Eagles, according to the source.
Gore’s contract with Indianapolis also is expected to include $8.5 million in guaranteed money.
Gore, 31, is coming off 4 straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons and has rushed for over 1,000 yards in 8 of his past 9 seasons. The only season over the past nine in which he failed to reach that threshold was 2010, when he missed five games with a broken hip.
Gore’s excellent pass protecting and tough running will be a nice change of pace for the Colts high octane offense. They are presumably going to be letting go of trouble running back Trent Richardson, which now allows Gore to be the premiere back with Daniel ‘Boom’ Herron backing him up.
The Colts also will host free-agent receiver Andre Johnson, who was released Monday by the Houston Texans, on Tuesday night, a source also tells ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
