“[I’m] drunk [and I’m] spilling the beans, but one of my openers is FLO and I am so excited. We had a [time] [last night],” they wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
While they haven’t announced their tour dates yet, Kehlani is expected to hit the road later this year in support of their new album, CRASH. The 13-track project comes complete with contributions from Young Miko, Jill Scott, Omah Lay, Reggie Becton and others. Michael Cragg of The Guardian called it the “perfect sexy summer soundtrack.”
“Across Crash’s 13 varied tracks, it’s the emotional honesty that really sticks. The expansive Deep, for example, details Kehlani’s tormented past (“came from sleeping on the bare concrete”) but never asks for sympathy. Life is complicated and Kehlani knows how to communicate that better than anyone,” Cragg wrote.
The CRASH supporting tour hasn’t been announced just yet. In the meantime, the Bay Area artist seems to be working towards an appearance on the remix of Jordan Adetunji’s breakout hit, “Kehlani.”
