Flavor Flav looks to have a public enemy in his partner Chuck D.
Multiple sources have reported that Flavor Flav is suing Chuck D and Public Enemy for unpaid royalties from an agreement between Flav and Chuck. The agreement is that they would share profits from music, live performances, and merchandise. Flav claims that he hasn’t seen a royalty check in years and, allegedly, Chuck is still getting paid.
But wait, there’s more.
Flavor Flav has alleged that his voice and likeness were used without consent on Public Enemy’s recent project Nothing is Quick in the Desert. He asked for $75,000, but only received $7,500 and nothing else.
I hate to see iconic groups feud over money and the legacy they created isn’t worth a couple of dollars. Here’s to hoping they resolve their issues.
