With it’s release approaching this weekend, Blade Runner 2049 has become one of the most anticipated movies of the year for 2 simple reasons. The first being that this is a sequel to a movie that was released 25 years ago and fans of the original Ridley Scott film will be excited to hit theatres to watch Detective Deckard. The other reason, well at least in my opinion, is the mysterious yet cinematic trailers that they show off. Every trailer has truly breath-taking cinematography, to add on to an all-star cast that is hinted throughout it’s final trailer.
The sequel already has a 96% rating on rotten tomatoes and a 5 out of 5 on Empire. It’s seriously gaining some traction to take over Stephen King’s smash hit clown-horror ‘IT’ and even if you haven’t watched the first movie back in 1982, get to it. With a cast like Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and Lennie James, what could there be to even consider? This is a must-watch by Def Pen standards.
