If you want to see a winning streak, look no further than what Fifth Harmony is doing at the moment. Over the course of the past few months, the current dominant girl group of the U.S. has took things up a notch across every aspect dealing with them as recording artists. Announcing their sophomore studio album, 7/27, which is slated to be released this Friday, March 27th, Fifth Harmony has put the pedal to the metal in effort to promote the project. Lead by an amazing first single, ‘Work From Home,’ has found itself sitting in the upper tier of the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks as the infectious record has dominated airplay and digital sales. Now, as they gear up for the release of their second single, ‘All In My Head (Flex),’ featuring Fetty Wap, ‘Work From Home’ isn’t completely finished as the ladies & Ty Dolla $ign have achieved a new honor with the record, according to Billboard.
Fifth Harmony scores its first No. 1 on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay chart (dated June 4), as “Work From Home” surges 4-1. Featured artist Ty Dolla $ign likewise earns his first leader on the list.
5H previously reached a high of No. 4 on Pop Songs with its prior entry, “Worth It,” featuring Kid Ink, last year. “Work” has already topped the Rhythmic Songs airplay chart (dated May 21), marking the group’s first No. 1 on an airplay survey, and risen to No. 5 on the airplay/sales/streaming-based Billboard Hot 100, marking the quintet’s first top five hit on the ranking.
Looking back, who knew that Fifth Harmony would be killing it right now alongside Ty Dolla $ign. Being a true honor, it just might be more where that came from as their followup single has the potential to match and exceed ‘Work From Home.’ Congratulations to 5H & Ty Dolla $ign!
