It’s set in stone. Fetty Wap is dominating all avenues at the moment. Collecting win after win, Fetty is simply having one of the best years that the music industry hasn’t seen from a debut act in a very long time. With four singles under his belt, ‘Trap Queen’, ‘My Way’, ‘679’, and ‘Again’, you would think the over-saturation would have the general public looking the other way. Instead, it seems that Fetty Wap has us all in the palm of hands. This week, with the debut of his hit single ‘Again’ on the Billboard Hot Rap songs at No. 8, Fetty earns the honor of being the first artist to have his first four singles to debut in the top 10 of the Rap chart.
Fetty Wap arrives at No. 8 on the Hot Rap Songs chart (dated Aug. 29) with “Again,” becoming the first act in the tally’s 26-year history to chart his first four entries in the top 10 simultaneously.
He’s also at No. 2 with “Trap Queen,” No. 3 with “My Way” featuring Monty, and No. 5 with ”679” featuring Remy Boyz.
Only 8 other artists have had a similar honor, but only Fetty Wap has accomplished this with his first four singles. With his debut album reportedly due out next month, there’s no doubt about it, Fetty is a force to be reckoned with in and outside the realm of Hip-Hop.
