Arguably, Fetty Wap is 2015’s breakout star. It clear to see that the rapper/singer is currently riding high off the success of his records, ‘Trap Queen’, ‘My Way’, and most recently, ‘679’, which sits in the top 5 of iTunes’ main chart. Steering away from trouble seemed to be on the agenda for Fetty but it appears that he’s been named in an assault investigation, according to TMZ.
Cops in Paramus, NJ tell us the 19-year-old Shop Rite clerk claims a female patron slapped him Friday night, and then her male friends jumped in and started whupping him in the middle of the store. TMZ obtained this video of the melee.
The clerk told cops he thought one of the male attackers was Fetty Wap, but admits he’s not positive it was the rapper because of all the commotion. He only suffered minor injuries and doesn’t want to press charges … but if cops can ID Fetty as one of the suspects, he could still be arrested.
From the grainy video, the only possible incriminating evidence would be the dreadlocks of one of the “attackers”. Other than that, it’s hard to tell if Fetty Wap was involved or even there at all. More importantly, hopefully this doesn’t start a trend of trouble for Fetty Wap as a promising music career is in the cards for Fetty. Watch the vide, below.
