As the 1 year mark approaches since Fergie returned to the music scene with her single ‘L.A. Love’, many have been left wondering if a new album from the The Black Eyed Peas front-woman would see the light of day. As the single didn’t succeed as much as all of the individuals involved would have liked it to, that didn’t discourage the The Dutchess singer from pressing forward with the album’s creation and completion. Previously announcing a collaboration with Nicki Minaj, Fergie has now linked up with the ‘See You Again’ hit-maker, Charlie Puth. When speaking with Digital Spy, here’s what Charlie had to say about working with the singer and what fans can expect.
“I still get to write and produce records for other artists,” Puth told Digital Spy. “I got to work with Fergie – for example – last month, which was so much fun and we made such a cool song.
Asked what the track sounded like, he replied: “Picture ‘My Humps’ 2015. Fergie is so talented, she’s such a genius. My mind was completely blown when I was in the studio with her.”
With ‘My Humps’ being one of The Black Eyed Peas most noticeable records, if anyone is perfect to try and recreate its success, it would be one of the singer/rappers themselves. The anticipation and listeners are there, so it’s simply time for the ‘Glamorous’ singer to execute and capitalize back to the top where she once was.
