NBA Picks 3/8/22
2-1 on the day and back to our winning ways. The Dallas Mavericks outgunned the Utah Jazz in a game full of verbal and physical altercations. A playoff series between those two teams would be fun. The Minnesota Timberwolves jumped on the Portland Trail Blazers early and never let up. The lone loss came at the hands of, you guessed it, the Los Angeles Lakers. That’s on us. We vowed never to bet on the Lakers again and did it anyway. We deserved that loss. On to tonight’s slate with the NBA Picks 3/8/22.
Phoenix Suns at Orland Magic (+6) 7:10 p.m EST
The Phoenix Suns are a wrecking ball and it almost doesn’t matter who they have out there. No Chris Paul? No problem. No Devin Booker? Who cares. We aren’t completely sold as them as the title favorite but they are the best regular-season team at the moment.
Pick: Phoenix Suns -6 (-110 via DraftKings)

Brooklyn Nets at Charlotte Hornets (+3.5) 7:10 p.m EST
Neither team can stop a nose bleed but the Brooklyn Nets have Kevin Durant and the Charlotte Hornets do not.
Pick: Brooklyn Nets -3.5 (-110 via DraftKings)

New Orleans Pelicans at Memphis Grizzlies (-5.5) 7:40 p.m EST
The New Orleans Pelicans are fun to watch and Brandon Ingram is playing the best basketball of his life. The Memphis Grizzlies are the better team but +5.5 seems a tad high for a team scoring the way the Pelicans have post-All-Star break.
*UPDATE* With the news that Brandon Ingram may miss the game we have switched our pick to the Memphis Grizzlies.
