It feels like the early 2000’s again. Fat Joe and Remy Ma, back together, on the same record, I couldn’t make this up if I wanted to. The old Terror Squad comrades are preparing to release a joint project in which a title has been announced, ‘Platas o Plomo’. Now according to spanishdict.com this stands for “Silver or Lead”, but from a recent interview with NORE and DJ EFN, Joe did say it stands for “Money or Bullets”.
Back to more important things at hand though, the new record from Fat Joe & Remy Ma, ‘All The Way Up’. Reuniting to deliver this joint effort just seems fitting and after all that Remy has been through these last few years, linking back up with Joe makes sense. Their chemistry in the studio just works and it shows on the this new record. The two Bronx rappers also link up with fellow BX native who is on fire right now in French Montana who just released his ‘Wave Gods’ mixtape. When you factor in two stellar verses from Rem and Joey Crack, French Montana on the hook, there’s no disguising the fact this is a dope NYC record.
