In 1987, PBS shared the first editions of the groundbreaking Eyes On The Prize documentary series. Thirty-four years later, HBO Max is spearheading its return with Eyes On The Prize: Hallowed Ground. While celebrating the legacy of the original series, Hallowed Ground will explore topics pertaining to sexuality, gender and the Black Lives Matter movement.
“Honoring the landmark docuseries Eyes on the Prize, this documentary special from Academy Award® nominated filmmaker Sophia Nahli Allison explores the profound journey for Black liberation. By giving lost stories a place to exist and spotlighting new voices for the future, Allison reflects on the moments that brought us to where we are – and where we’re going,” the description reads.
