Reboots are nothing new in the year 2020. This year, Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall brought back the classic film, Coming 2 America, for another run. Later this year, LeBron James will lead the latest edition of the Space Jam franchise. Not to mention, Queen Latifah currently leads the television adaptation of The Equalizer. Adding to the growing list of reboots and adaptations, CBS Studios has announced that they are working on an animated reboot of Everybody Hates Chris.
Running from 2006 through 2009, the series told the story of Chris Rock’s childhood with Tyler James Williams leading the way. Rock and company were able to produce nearly 90 episodes over the course of four seasons on The CW and UPN. The series sparked the carers of Williams, Paige Hurd and Vincent Martella. It also featured Terry Crews, Tichina Arnold, Imani Hakim and Tequan Richmond.
Details regarding the animated reboot are still hazy. However, it has been reported that Rock will narrate the reboot like he did the original.
