Kevin Durant was ranked the 8th best player going into the 2014-2015 NBA season by ESPN. Let that sink in. A week ago they ranked Kobe Bryant at #40, and now Oklahoma City Thunder‘s Durant is #8th and this has drawn some attention. I am assuming that due to Durant’s recent injury he was ranked so low, but you can not put the MVP of the league at 8th.
Kobe Bryant did lash out at ESPN, calling them “Idiots”. Royce Webb of ESPN said “Instead of shooting jumpers, he’s shooting selfies.” Kevin Durant did reply to the comment via twitter but later deleted the following tweet.
Well, he doesn’t seem like he’s taking it to heart, but knowing the competitor he is, as soon as he comes back he’s coming with a vengeance.
