San Francisco 49ers cornerback Emmanuel Moseley has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2022 NFL season. He suffered the injury in the team’s 37-15 Week Five victory over the Carolina Panthers. An MRI confirmed the injury on Monday, ending the cornerback’s season. Moseley has been a rising star on the San Francisco 49ers roster and losing him for the year will hurt the defense some. The 49ers are considered a top defensive unit this season, and one loss is unlikely to change that despite how valuable he was becoming on the field.

This season with the San Francisco 49ers, Emmanuel Moseley recorded 18 solo tackles, 21 total tackles, five passes defended, and one interception that he returned for 41 yards and a touchdown. Replacing his production in the secondary could be a difficult task for the 49ers heading into the rest of the regular season. Sitting at 3-2 the team’s playoff hopes are still very much alive, but will require winning more games. We here at Def Pen Sports wish Emmanuel Moseley the best in his recovery and eventual return to the football field.
