At thirty four years of age, Emilio Rojas is a prime example of what it means to reinvent yourself within music. With nearly ten years in the game, Rojas has gone in the studio with multiple producers, moved through different labels and so and so forth. Still, he has managed to find himself on records with XV, Emanny, Chris Webby and more. After moving and evolving through music, Rojas appears to be focused and better than ever. Coming off of his One Week Notice collaboration with Jarren Benton, Dizzy Wright and Audio Push, the New York rapper is back with his second new project this year.
Emilio Rojas has released his newest project called Life Got In The Way. The new project from Rojas comes complete with nearly forty minutes of new music and features from Jarren Benton, Hi-Rez, Gene Noble and Hi-Tone. The project also features the magic touch of executive producer IllMind.
Throughout the promotion of this new project, Rojas has said that this body of work is his reintroduction. When asked what he meant, Rojas said, “I’m Emilio Rojas and I’m at war with love and at odds with the system. I’m always in conflict. Like it’s perpetually conflict, whether it’s in my personal life, my relationships, my own identity, or what’s going on in the world.” He also added, “I’m most excited for fans to hear “New To New York” off this project. I’m from Rochester and I moved to New York City like “once I get there I’m gon’ get it” and that’s what the record is about.” Listen to “New To New York” and more on Life Got On The Way.
