Not every member of The Joe Budden Podcast has retired from recording music.
Emanny ends the year with the release of his three-track EP, Before H3R. The nine-minute project kicks off with “B.D.E,” a casual, yet sensual conversation between Emanny and H3R about letting go and giving in to your desires. The three-minute track hits the ground running before slowing down in the final minute with a piano break and slowed-down verse from Emmany.
“[You’re] saying that you think we should take our time,” he sings.
“Baby, I know that’s all cap. ‘Cause every time I walk through the door. You get mad and keep pulling me back. Girl, [there] ain’t no pressure if you want to wait. Girl, [there] ain’t no pressure if you want to stay. If you wanna stay, f—k with me, baby.”
The decelerated tempo that concludes “B.D.E” opens the door for the slower, sensuous vibe created throughout “ATL” and “Don’t Give Up.” However, the message remains in the same vein — give in to what your heart wants, and don’t give up on whatever you’re feeling at this moment. Unfortunately, there’s just one problem. She’s hesitant because her mind is telling her not to go back. Throughout the three-song EP, Emmany recognizes the chemistry he has with H3R, but realizes he must also atone for mistakes he’s made in the past. Will it be enough, or is it too little too late?
