According to ET Online, we will be seeing Eddie Murphy in the upcoming Richard Pryor biopic. If everything goes as planned with contracts and scheduling, Eddie will be cast as Pryor’s father, former boxer, LeRoy ‘Buck Carter’ Pryor. Kate Hudson will appear as Jennifer Pryor with Oprah playing the grandmother of Richard Pryor, Marie Carter.
Director Lee Daniels just put up a photo of Eddie and himself recently on Instagram, so only time will tell how this all plays out. The biopic is still untitled, but stick around for any upcoming updates.
