Dylan Sinclair is ready to return with the release of his latest single, “Forever.” The Canadian vocalist’s latest soulful selection draws Guyanese and Filipino roots while paying homage to the melting pot that is his hometown of Toronto, Ontario. Beneath the melody and production, the emerging artist delivers a lyrical message that is both heartfelt and relatable.
Two years ago, Dylan Sinclair began to roll out his project, No Longer In The Suburbs, with the single, “Lifetime.” Throughout the song, he asks, “Will I be enough for a lifetime?” With a rise to fame and notoriety, he wonders if he’ll ever be able to assure his significant other that he’s faithful and committed to her.
“Could you trust me when I’m on the road? With beautiful women from LA and London,” he sings.
Two years later, it seems as if his comittment and value is being questioned. He sings, “They don’t want us together. They’re tryna pull her away. They doubt I’m good enough for her.” Yet, it feels as if the doubts about their commitment to each other have disappeared.
“She don’t wanna leave. She won’t let me go. She says it’s me and her against the globe,” he continues.
Settling into his career, rise to fame and recent life changes, Sinclair sounds mature and reflective and he appears to be looking at life through a new lens. “Forever” is the most recent offering from what is to come from his debut album, For The Boy In Me. Check out his new new single before the album arrives September 27.
