The NBA announced over the weekend that they are fining Dwight Howard $35,000 for making an obscene gesture towards Cleveland Cavaliers fans on Friday night during the Hornets 100-99 loss.
The incident occurred with 4:25 remaining in the second quarter and the game tied at 46 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. Here’s the gesture in question.
Dwight Howard has opened up about coming back into his own following some tough seasons after his exit from the Orlando Magic. But despite his apparent return to a good mental state of mind, his exile from the Atlanta Hawks reportedly brought jubilation among his former teammates. A 14-year veteran and eight-time All-Star, Howard is averaging 15.5 points and 12.9 rebounds in 18 games this season for Charlotte. Dwight has now amassed $972,469 in total fine money since 2010.
