When it first hits theaters back in 1975, Jaws was a phenomenon. It was one of the highest grossing movies when it first came out, making 123 million domestically. Jaws is also a film that’s highly relevant in popular culture. Because of this film, this is why we have a majority of blockbuster films during the summer. Lots of advertising, and a simple, yet thrilling plot to bring moviegoers out to theaters in drove. It’s a technique that’s worked for years.
