D’USSE Palooza has announced that they have severed ties with a staff member that has been accused of engaging in sexual misconduct, sexual harassment and several other crimes. While D’USSE Palooza did not identify the staff member by name, Brooklyn native Chris Stylez is believed to be the former staff member in question. The decision to sever ties with said staff member was made public on Tuesday, April 28th at approximately 5:30 p.m. through social media.
“We are aware of the allegation made against one of our staff members. We are currently conducting an internal investigation around this allegation. Until the investigation has been concluded, that staff member has been placed on indefinite leave,” D’USSE Palooza tweeted on Monday.
“After further consideration, we have decided to sever ties with the staff member who was initially put under internal investigation. Effective immediately, said staff member is no longer a part of the Palooza team and will not host any of our events going forward,” D’USSE Palooza posted on Tuesday evening.
One woman recounted an experience in which the accused staff member agreed to drop her off at her home. Along the way, she claims he made several sexual advances toward her. As they were travelling, she realized that they were not going towards her home. Instead, she indicated that he took her to his home. After arriving, she explained further that he continued to make sexual advances. When she declined his advances, she wrote that he left the apartment and walked across the street. Following him, she realized that he was not taking her home, leaving her alone on the street in the early hours of the morning.
Another woman illustrated an experience in which the former staff member allegedly recorded a sexual interaction between the two without her knowledge. She claims that after she denied his advances at a later date, he sent her a screenshot of the recording.

Over the last three days, many other women have posted text messages, direct messages and other accounts of their interactions with the former staff member. Adding on to the allegations of sexual misconduct, further accusations indicated that D’USSE Palooza staff member, Rory Farrell, was notified of this behavior last month. Earlier today, the D’USSE Palooza staff member took to The Joe Budden Podcast to speak on the matter publicly.
“That’s not behavior I condone. That’s not behavior I enable. It’s not behavior I have participated in. It’s not behavior I have even seen in my life,” he said.
After severing ties with D’USSE Palooza, Chris Stylez took to Instagram Live to offer a statement regarding the matter. While online, the New York native attempted to address the accusations levied against him. He also took to Twitter to offer a response.
“If I respond I lose, if I don’t I lose. I’m not going to invalidate anyone’s experience with me, good or bad. I’m willing to go to police, speak publicly or privately about any of my actions,” he tweeted.
At this moment, no charges have been filed against the former staff member or the event itself. D’USSE Palooza nor D’USSE have issued statements regarding the matter since Stylez offered his impromptu online statement. All future D’USSE Palooza events have been postponed until further notice given the nature of the COVID-19 pandemic.
