Kevin Seraphin, the 17th pick by Chicago in the 2010 NBA Draft, always brings a lot of intensity an effort to games. Off the bench, the big man from France could also give the Wizards a quick spark both offensively and defensively.
A large part of intensity is both a passion for basketball, and a passion for team. Coming off the bench puts any player in a tough role, and passion guides them to make the most of their opportunity.
For Seraphin, this passion to help his team in any way he can makes him the player he is. Drew Gooden has been Seraphin’s teammate for the past two seasons in Washington after Gooden was amnestied by Milkwaukee, and noticed this passion to be a contributor to the team.
“You got to love the passion of him wanting to be out there and play,” Wizards forward Drew Gooden III said. “He has had multiple roles since he has been a Wizard. So for him to come down to the bottom, all the way up to the last game, for him not to get any playing time and then have a great Game 6 for us is huge.
Seraphin’s passion to play is the driving force for his career in Washington having likely come to an end. The center will find a much larger role in another city, and he will be greatly be missed in DC. His passion off the bench to win will be missed, and will be very hard to replace.
