No story in sports has been larger than the protest started by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The QB made national news by sitting during the playing of the national anthem. He later explained his reasoning as a protest of social injustices in the country, especially in regards to race.
Since then, many other athletes have come to support Kaepernick. The first Sunday of the NFL regular season saw similar protests across the league by members of the Dolphins, Chiefs, Patriots, and Seahawks.
The protest is slowly seeping into the NBA world as well. While the season is yet to begin, several NBA players have voiced their support for the 49ers QB.
No team has been more public about that support than the Golden State Warriors. Point guard Stephen Curry expressed his support first, followed by recent addition Kevin Durant.
Now, Draymond Green is joining the conversation. Green specifically praised Dolphins owner Steve Ross who supported his players after kneeling during the anthem. (h/t Anthony Slater of Mercury News)

he actually supported because of the actual message that is being sent. So many people want to ignore the message and judge the action.

I applaud Mr. Ross on what he said today but it comes as no surprise as he created RISE a year ago trying to bring awareness to this issue.

I'm Happy the conversation has been started and actions are being taken. https://t.co/w99xH09rnL

Much like Curry and Durant, Draymond Green strayed away from really discussing the issue and the message of the protest. However, even a small amount of support for the carriers is a good thing as this protest gains steam.
