As the music industry continues to play the numbers game with streams and spins, records held for decades meet shattering fates. Billboard reports 32 artists total earn recognition from iHeartRadio for earning of 1 billion total audience spins of their hits throughout 2018.
In 2018, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, and alternative genres biggest stars and rising acts all dropped albums, singles, and collaborations. Cardi B features, a 2018 hot ticket, gives her the most songs receiving the ‘Titanium Award’.
Bruno Mars Finesse Remix featuring Cardi B, along with Cardi B’s own I Like It featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny and Maroon 5 featuring Cardi B Girls Like You all gained 1 billion spins in 2018. Drake’s feel-good banger God’s Plan earned the 6 god iHeartRadio’s ‘Titanium Award.’
Both Post Malone, Halsey and Camila Cabello also have multiple songs listed as earning 1 billion streams.
