Donald Trump has taken aim at the film and television industry. Prior to departing for a pair of fundraisers in New York, the former reality television host made some comments about the state of television and film.
Trump told reporters, “Hollywood is racist.” He claims that the film and television capital “treats conservatives very unfairly.”
He later stated, ““Hollywood — I don’t call them the elites because I think the elites are people they go after, in many cases — but Hollywood is really terrible. You talk about racist, Hollywood is racist. What they’re doing with the kind of movies they’re putting out, it’s actually very dangerous for our country.”
In addition to taking shots at Hollywood, Trump also alluded to an upcoming meeting with Hollywood executives. The New York native didn’t specify which executives he would be meeting with or when he would be meeting with them. Instead, he said, “We have now, in a little while, all of the heads of the biggest companies coming in, and we’re going to talk to them.”
