This suspension also comes with some contract issues. Timmons signed a 2 year, $12 Million deal this past offseason with the Dolphins. Rapoport also reported Timmons could lose some guaranteed money this year.
After Timmons went missing on Saturday, his time playing for Adam Gase was in doubt. The suspension likely voids his $4.5M in ’18 guarantees

This news comes after Timmons mysteriously disappeared before the Dolphins game Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Dolphins won the game 19-17, but it was unclear what exactly happened to Timmons.
Little to no explanation has been given as to why Timmons skipped out on Sunday’s game. Sources told Adam Schefter that Timmons was attending to a “personal matter”.

Schefter also stated that Timmons wishes to play and wants to get back to practice this week.

The Dolphins will need all the help they can get on the defensive side of the ball. Their defense last season, specifically their run defense, was awful. There was promise in the win against the Chargers, but they will every able body if they hope to put up a fight for the AFC East.
