Who said Top Dawg Entertainment fell off? Isaiah Rashad is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Cilvia Demo with a tour featuring Ray Vaughn. ScHoolboy Q is in the “Album of the Year” conversation and SZA’s S.O.S was included in Apple Music’s 100 Best Albums list. Not to mention, Jay Rock recently teased the release of his forthcoming LP, Eastside Johnny. Now, Doechii is entering the mix as she continues to work toward her first full-length studio album under Top Dawg Entertainment. One key component to building anticipation for the project is her string of her performances across the map. After stopping by Hangout Fest in Alabama, she’ll bring her talents to Governors Ball.
“It’s gonna be dramatic, theatrical, and maximalist. Girl, I’m going all out. Plus, that one’s gonna be a fully taped performance, so I really want to show a scene,” she told Julian Ukimogbe of Elle.
Doechii will be joined by her TDE counterpart, SZA, who will be headlining the festival’s third day. She’ll also be joined by several emerging female artists in Rap and R&B, including FLO and Sexyy Red. Govenors Ball is set to kick off on Friday, June 7 in New York and run through Sunday, June 9.
