Comedian D.L. Hughley is set to release a new book titled, Surrender, White People! Our Conditional Terms For Peace, on June 30, 2020. As the title suggests, the comedian will discuss topics of reparations, racism and white supremacy.
“Peace and reconciliation will only happen, I believe, when white people surrender their unjust privileges and their delusions of ‘supremacy,’” Hughley said.
“Look your history in the face, put aside all your visions of superiority, open up your institutions so they benefit everyone in this nation, and join the rest of us as equals. That’s what I mean by surrender,” he added.
This release marks Hughley’s fourth published work. He’s previously published works such as Black Man, White House: An Oral History of the Obama Years and How Not to Get Shot: And Other Advice From White People.
Surrender, White People! is now available for pre-order at all major online book stores.
