Disney has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming film, Cinderella.
Actress Lily James will play the title role of Ella.
Not far off from the original fairytale, Ella’s life is turned upside down when her wealthy father remarries and then suddenly passes away.
Left in the hands of her cruel stepmother [Cate Blanchett] and daughters Anastasia and Drisella [Holliday Grainger and Sophie McShera], Ella is forced to become a servant.
When she later meets a handsome stranger in the woods, Ella is given an initiation to a ball at the Palace. However, her stepmother finds out and forbids her from going, and tearing her dress.
Helena Bonham Carter will play the fairy godmother and Richard Madden will play the Prince.
Cinderella will be released on March 13, 2015.
