Disney is putting the rest of the streaming world on notice. Monday the official Twitter account for Disney+ dropped a MASSIVE thread showing off everything that will be available on the platform at launch. And I’ve got to say, I knew there’d be a lot but, I didn’t expect literally hundreds of shows and movies.
There’s some obvious ones like Snow White, Cinderella, and The Lion King. But, then there’s a few that honestly sound a little fake like Those Calloways, and That Darn Cat (I’m going to include the Tweet for that second one below so everyone knows I’m not just pulling this stuff out of my ass). Of course the entire Star Wars franchise will be available at launch, as well Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian. But, there’s also going to be a few hidden gems like the animated X-Men series from the 90s and Boy Meets World.

This thread is just the latest haymaker Disney has thrown to kick off the streaming wars. Earlier this year, Bob Iger announced an ESPN+/Hulu/Disney+ bundle for only $12.99. Then, earlier this week, the company announced that it would stop running Netflix ads on ABC, Freeform, and FX. On top of that and all the content available at launch, there are also at least 6 Marvel series in the works at the new streamer. AND there are also reboots for both Lizzie McGuire and The Proud Family in development as well.
Here’s the thread if you want to see it in its entirety:
It. Is. Time. From Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to The Mandalorian, check out basically everything coming to #DisneyPlus in the U.S. on November 12.
