Disney Channel has greenlit a new comedy series that can be described as first of its kind. The series named Just Roll With It will be a blend of scripted comedy and improvised scenes. The show will debut to a studio audience that shall be able to decide what happens next, while the characters just roll with it.
Made to be a family sitcom, the series revolves around the merged Bennett-Blatt family, focusing on step-siblings Blair (Kaylin Hayman) and Owen (Ramon Reed) that are polar opposites.
At the sound of a horn, the actors break and run backstage while the audience gets to pick from three shocking stunts the actors will perform. After votes are cast electronically the actors shall return to their fate which could be anything outrageous like eating grasshoppers or some grotesque sardines.
Just Roll With It will be a true step forward for comedic series as it will be blending the best of both worlds, scripted and improvised. This evolution of the classic sitcom shows a new element to comedic storytelling. The show is a production of Kenwood Tv Productions and will have Small and Moore serve as executive producers.
