Sean “Diddy” Combs has been put into cuffs after an altercation with one of the football coaches at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex. It seems that Diddy got a little to incensed when one of the strength and conditioning coaches was yelling at his son Justin.
P. Diddy has been arrested for allegedly getting into a fight with a football coach at UCLA … where his son is on the team, TMZ Sports has learned.
We’re told Campus Police took the music mogul into custody early Monday afternoon. Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, is a defensive back on the team. We’re told the fight went down at the UCLA athletic facility.
One source says an assistant coach was screaming at Justin on the field during a strength and conditioning session. We’re told the coach “was riding Justin, screaming intensely at him.” Diddy watched the whole thing from the sideline.
To make matters worse Combs allegedly attacked the coach with a kettlebell. Consequently, Diddy was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, all because he couldn’t handle a coach intensely coaching his son.
I can’t shake my head enough.
Combs will be transported to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center tonight.
“We are aware of the reports and are looking into the matter,” UCLA director of media relations Phil Hampton said
And here’s what head coach Jim Mora Jr. had to say:
“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation. This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”
Update: As more information continues to roll in regarding the altercation, Sports Center has updated us with the charges the Hip-Hop mogul will face in court.
UPDATE: Charges vs Sean “Diddy” Combs: • 3 counts of assault w/ deadly weapon • 1 count of making terrorist threats • 1 count of battery

UPDATE #2: According to Chicago Tribune, Diddy swung the kettlebell at an intern, not the strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi. If you remember, Alosi is the former Jets coach (holding the same position) that imfamously stuck his leg out and tripped a Miami Dolphins player during a kickoff.
Update #3: Nearly a day after Diddy’s altercation at UCLA’s football training complex, a representative for Mr. Combs has released the following statement:
The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate. What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son. We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed.
