The Detroit Pistons had a dilemma when it came to Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe. In theory they should’ve gelled but they just couldn’t get it done. Detroit realised this too late and couldn’t get a deal for him so they basically just let him leave for nothing in return.
But that hasn’t stopped them, with Monroe gone Drummond has flourished becoming a rebounding machine but still has a way to go. For Drummond and as a team.
With that in mind, why am I getting word that they’re looking into Al Horford as a free agent?
Two persons with firsthand knowledge of the organization told the Free Press there could be interest in Hawks big man Al Horford (Grand Ledge) when free agency begins in the off-season.
I don’t understand this, you let Monroe walk for a reason. Sure Horford is a better shooter than Monroe and has a better range but he still regularly takes to the paint. He’s still a big man that’ll be all up in Drummond’s home which is down low.
They don’t need to focus on Horford, focus on who you have now and where your weaknesses are, you got Drummond, no need for Horford.
