Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker and his family have received death threats in response to comments Walker made regarding the Titans decision to stay in the locker room during the national anthem Sunday.
Earlier this week Walker said that if fans did not approve of the Titans protest they should choose to stay home, “And the fans that don’t want to come to the game? I mean, OK. Bye. I mean, if you feel that’s something, we’re disrespecting you, don’t come to the game. You don’t have to. No one’s telling you to come to the game. It’s your freedom of choice to do that.”
In a statement made in an instagram post Walker expressed his disappointment in the backlash the protests have received.

Also receiving death threats was singer Meghan Linsey who took a knee at the end of her national anthem performance. In response to the threats Linsey said, “I’ve been waking up with anxiety a lot, and it’s hard to eat food and sleep, but other than that, I’m good. I feel like I did the right thing. I don’t have any regrets.”
